Целью статьи является выявление особенностей вклада британского политолога Ричарда Саквы в развитие современной политической науки. Авторы обращаются к герменевтическому методу, практикующемуся для изучения содержания, понимания определенного значения, смысла текстов, а также позиций и гипотез их авторов. Принципы герменевтического метода использовались при выявлении особенностей, интерпретации тезисов профессора Саквы в двух тематических направлениях: (1) исследовании российской политики и власти и (2) анализе международных отношений. В начале работы дается краткая библиографическая справка о британском исследователе. Затем приводится небольшой обзор о существующей специализированной литературе, посвященной политологическому наследию профессора. В выводах обозначено, что, во-первых, Саква ввел в академический дискурс новый терминологический аппарат, во-вторых, подчеркивается значимость его теорий для развития современной политической науки. Выявлено, что в концептуальном анализе Саквы прослеживается определенная дихотомийность - противопоставление неких двух разных политических явлений или процессов. Также авторы сопоставляют тезисы Ричарда Саквы о сущности российской власти и политики (модель стабилократии) с его анализом внешнеполитического курса Российской Федерации (в рамках теории неоревизионизма).
The aim of the article is to identify the peculiarities of British political scientist Richard Sakwa's contribution to the development of modern political science. The authors refer to the hermeneutic method practiced to study the content, understanding of a certain meaning, sense of texts, as well as the positions and hypotheses of their authors. The principles of the hermeneutic method were used in identifying the peculiarities and interpretation of Professor Sakwa's theses in two thematic areas: (1) the study of Russian politics and power and (2) the analysis of international relations. The paper begins with a brief bibliographical note on the British researcher. Then a brief review of the existing specialized literature on the professor's political science legacy is given. The conclusions indicate that, firstly, Sakwa introduced a new terminological apparatus into the academic discourse, and secondly, the significance of his theories for the development of modern political science is emphasized. It is revealed that in Sakwa's conceptual analysis there is a certain dichotomy - opposition of some two different political phenomena or processes. The authors also compare Richard Sakwa's theses about the essence of Russian power and politics (the model of stableocracy) with his analysis of the foreign policy course of the Russian Federation (within the framework of the theory of neorevisionism).
