The article analyzes the transformation of fire safety in Russia in 2025 from a regulatory and technical category to an economic and strategic one. The paper substantiates the transition from the perception of fire protection costs as mandatory costs to their understanding as investments that reduce risks, form reputational capital and provide access to government preferences. The article considers the integration of fire safety technologies into national projects (in particular, the "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the state"), as well as the role of public—private partnership. The barriers limiting economic returns are identified, such as the administrative burden and the territorial unevenness of the distribution of support measures.
