The article presents a theoretical systematization of risks for IT startups at various stages of their life cycle. Based on an analysis of current trends and specifics of IT projects, a comprehensive classification is proposed, extending beyond the traditional division and encompassing technological, product, and ecosystem-related threats. The study undertakes a scientific revision and adaptation of classical risk management frameworks (such as ISO 31000) to the highly dynamic startup environment and develops an algorithm for risk prioritization relevant to each development stage. Theoretical conclusions are supported by an analysis of patterns from successful and failed projects, revealing effective and destructive management practices. The results provide a foundation for diagnosing critical threats, improving due diligence processes for investors, and enhancing educational programs in IT entrepreneurship.
