FACTORS AND MECHANISMS FOR RETAINING "GENERATION Z"

Abstract:
This article presents the identified and systematized key factors influencing the retention 
of Generation Z representatives in state and municipal institutions, as well as the author's development of practical mechanisms for adapting HR policies and organizational practices in accordance with these factors. The authors analyze theoretical approaches to studying Generation Z and its characteristics as a subject of labor activity. The specific features of state and municipal service as employers are identified, and traditional factors of personnel retention are systematized. 
New personal and competency characteristics of Generation Z, their expectations of organizational culture, and attitudes toward work-life balance are examined. The correlation between existing practices in state and municipal government bodies and the identified characteristics of Generation Z is determined. Mechanisms for adapting HR policies to improve the retention of young talent are developed.
