This study examines the motivational-value criterion in the development of musical-creative abilities of younger schoolchildren through sand animation during extracurricular activities. Three indicators are highlighted: the need for development and training, self-development (motivation), the desire to express oneself (competitions), and a value attitude towards art. The relevance of the work is to fill the gap in music and art education, focusing on motivation and value orientations as incentives for creativity. Sand Animation is a multimodal, tactile, and visually appealing environment suitable for younger students whose abilities depend on a stimulating environment and social engagement. The study provides a theoretical basis for the development of activities aimed at long-term involvement in music and art. The aim is to study the influence of motivational-value criteria in the development of musical-creative abilities of younger schoolchildren through sand animation. Attention is focused on the development of internal motivation, social participation and value-based attitude towards art. Research methods. The research is based on a thorough analysis of the existing scientific literature using methods such as observation, systematization of information and generalization of results, pedagogical theories and practical examples are used to substantiate the conclusions. Results. The results obtained confirm that sand animation makes it possible to develop musical-creative abilities in younger schoolchildren, to assess the levels of which various criteria are used, including motivational-value criteria including: the need for development and learning, self-development (motivation), the desire to express oneself (competitions), value attitude towards art. Thus, well-organized sand animation classes can increase the level of the need for development and training, self-development (motivation); the desire to express oneself (contests); value-based attitude to art and, in general, improve the level of musical-creative abilities development among younger schoolchildren.
