A DIAGNOSTIC METHODOLOGY FOR PROFESSIONAL BURNOUT OF PERSONNEL IN INNOVATIVE IT ORGANIZATIONS IN A REMOTE WORK CONTEXT

Abstract:
The article examines the problem of professional burnout among IT specialists engaged in remote work. A comparative analysis of existing burnout diagnostic methodologies (MBI, CBI, SMBM, and V.V. Boyko’s method) was conducted, revealing their limitations in the context of the remote IT format. These limitations include the absence of scales for assessing digital overload, the blurring of work-life boundaries, and the specific communicative barriers inherent in remote interaction. The study defines the requirements for diagnostic tools tailored to remote IT professionals. An original diagnostic methodology was developed, comprising a specialized questionnaire and a procedure for correlating results with corporate performance indicators (KPIs). The article presents the findings from a pilot validation of this methodology within a small, innovative IT company, which identified key stress factors such as high workload, client pressure, and challenges in adapting to the remote format. The results of the correlation analysis are presented, reflecting the influence of various factors on the burnout level of remote IT specialists. The methodology proposed by the authors can be utilized by HR departments for the early diagnosis of burnout and the development of targeted personnel support programs.
