STUDENT PERCEPTION OF ACCREDITATION: HOW DO STUDENTS PERCEIVE THE ACCREDITATION OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND ITS IMPACT ON THEIR CAREER PROSPECTS

Abstract:
This article examines students’ perception of educational institution accreditation and its impact on their career prospects. Accreditation is an important aspect of the higher education system, as it ensures that curricula meet certain quality standards. The article is based on the results of questionnaires and focus groups conducted among students of various universities in order to identify their perception of accreditation, understanding its significance and impact on their chosen career path. Data analysis shows that accreditation is perceived as an important factor influencing the choice of a place of study, as well as future career opportunities. Students note that the presence of accreditation from an educational institution helps to increase the confidence of employers and expands their professional horizons. At the same time, research has also revealed that many students are not fully aware of the accreditation process and its criteria, which highlights the need to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation in the educational system. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of further research in this area to develop recommendations aimed at improving the perception of accreditation and its role in the educational process, as well as to help educational institutions communicate effectively with their students.
