The article deals with the issues of updating of customer focus, particularly in the higher education system. An analysis of the basic elements and principles of customer focus in high school is presented. The author proved the conceptual approach to the strategy of formation and development of customer-oriented higher education as a factor of increasing competitiveness of the university and the development of innovative management technologies of university.
