    <p>Новая экономическая история — научное направление, появившееся в качестве альтернативы классической политической экономии, сегодня переживает серьезные изменения. В данной статье делается попытка проанализировать ключевые проблемы, исследуемые в рамках новой экономической теории, и оценить, насколько сильным является исторический, а не экономический потенциал этого направления в региональных исследованиях. Исследование основано на анализе современных зарубежных работ, объединивших региональный подход и методологию новой экономической истории.</p>

    <p>New economic history is a scientific school that appeared as the alternative for the classical political economy. Nowadays it goes through the serious changes. This paper focuses on the key subjects of new economic history and evaluates the historical potential of this school in regional studies. The paper is based on the analyses of contemporary foreign researches that have united the regional approach and the methodology of new economic history.</p>
