За полный 2013 год и 3 месяца 2014 года в Воронеже впервые было зарегистрировано 18 случаев заболевания людей острым вирусным гепатитом Е (ВГЕ). Это новая инфекция для Воронежской области. В статье описываются краткая история открытия ВГЕ, приводятся краткие литературные данные, анализируется клиника и эпидемиология ВГЕ у 18 обследованных пациентов. Делается вывод, что все случаи ВГЕ явились местными, а не завозными, случаями ВГЕ (т.н. аутохтонный гепатит Е).
Authors report the new infection for Voronezh region - viral hepatitis E (VGE). 18 cases of acute VGE were registered during 12 months of 2013 and 3 months of 2014. After the brief history of VGE discovery and literature review the authors analyze clinical and epidemioilogical features of VGE. Authors conclude that all the described cases of acute VGE can be considered to be an autochthonous hepatitis E virus infection (local HEV infection in nonendemic regions).

Вирусный гепатит Е (ВГЕ) относится к группе гепатитов с фекально-оральным механизмом передачи и характеризуется повсеместным, но неравномерным распространением. Воронежская область никогда не являлась эндемичной по ВГЕ территорией и до 2013 года на нашей территории это заболевание никогда не регистрировалось.
