Based on various statistical and analytical sources, the article analyzes the current state and main trends of commodity markets. It shows the importance and role of commodities in the gross product and budget of the country. The main groups of commodity markets are classified according to their specific weight. The contribution of the most important energy and non-energy commodities in the country's economy is considered. Based on the analysis, conclusions and prospects are made, and the main risks in the current crisis are identified. Proposals for ways out of the difficult situation were made. It is noted that the crisis can play a positive role in the removal of disparities and contradictions and reaching a new long-term level of development.
