Истории повседневной жизни учебных заведений в Российской империи уделяется мало внимания в историографии, в том числе на материалах Сибири. В связи с этим актуально изучение данной темы. В истории Томской мужской гимназии особое место занимает предреформенный период. Он существенно отличается от пореформенного этапа. Об этом периоде сохранились воспоминания учеников. На основе этого можно изучать предпосылки реформ Александра II. Можно заметить, что реформы изменили сам облик Сибири в российском государстве. В документах заметен низкий уровень благополучия и в самой гимназии. Между тем, в пореформенной России можно заметить абсолютно другую картину в учебных заведениях. В гимназии в дореформенный период можно заметить низкий уровень культуры учителей и плохое поведение учеников. Таким образом, можно отметить важнейшую роль реформ Александра II в жизни страны и их абсолютную необходимость.
The history of the daily life of educational institutions in the Russian Empire is given little attention in historiography, including materials from Siberia. In this regard, the study of this topic is relevant. The pre-reform period occupies a special place in the history of the Tomsk Men's Gymnasium. It differs significantly from the post-reform stage. The memories of the students have been preserved about this period. Based on this, it is possible to study the prerequisites for the reforms of Alexander II. It can be noted that the reforms have changed the very face of Siberia in the Russian state. The documents show a low level of well-being in the gymnasium itself. Meanwhile, in post-reform Russia, one can notice a completely different picture in educational institutions. In the gymnasium in the pre-reform period, one can notice the low level of culture of teachers and the bad behavior of students. Thus, it is possible to note the most important role of Alexander II's reforms in the life of the country and their absolute necessity.
