Abstract (English):
The monograph reflects the results of a study of the transformation of the UN's international policy in the field of demographic management towards the legalization of direct and cognitive mechanisms of birth control. Under the slogans of combating overpopulation, poverty, lack of resources, environmental degradation, and climate warming, birth control is considered one of the central measures to achieve the goals of sustainable development in the 21st century. The question is raised about the legal and humanistic nature of the transformations being carried out at the UN level, described by the Director of the UN Population Division, Joseph Chamy, as a "historical reversal of world demography", since they contradict not only the fundamental human right to life and reproduction, but can lead to radical changes in perceptions and policies regarding the basic institutions of human society — marriage, family, motherhood, parenthood, childbearing, upbringing and education. It is interdisciplinary in nature and is addressed to a wide range of readers and specialists in the fields of demography, reproduction, medicine, psychology, sociology, pedagogy, and philosophy in order to form a stable public and scientific discussion on the issues of the modern demographic agenda.
