The paper attempts to identify methodological fallacies in the works of Russian
economists, published during the 2004–2014 period. Produced are econometric
assessments of how wide-spread these fallacies are. Among these fallacies is the
erroneous interpretation of the subject and method of the economic science.
Also highlighted are the excessiveness of new economic concepts and categories
coined recently, and overuse of mathematical and econometric models.
It is emphasized also, that many economists consider the "Normative Economics"
to be a science in its own right. The number of scholarly works containing
methodological errors is growing at an increasingly rapid pace. Presented are
the widely acknowledged fundamental principles of the Positive economics
methodology.
