В данной статье рассмотрены исторические аспекты торговых взаимоотношений между Турцией и Европейским союзом. Особое внимание уделено обстоятельствам, при которых Республика оказалась на стороне блока НАТО в Холодной войне, а также безуспешным попыткам Республики стать полноправным членом Европейского союза в течение более 60 лет. Новизна статьи заключается в том, что в ней приведены данные касательно внешней торговли Турции и ЕС, включая ее товарную структуру. При написании статьи активно применялся исторический и статистико-математический метод научного исследования.
This article examines the historical aspects of the foreign trade relations between Turkey and the European Union. Special attention is paid to the circumstances under which the Republic found itself on the side of the NATO bloc in the Cold War, as well as the unsuccessful attempts of the Republic to become a full member of the European Union for more than 60 years. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that it provides data on the foreign trade of Turkey and the EU, including its commodity structure. When writing the article, the historical and statistical-mathematical method of scientific research was actively used.
