In this article, the author addresses the issues of fostering patriotism among young people, which should be the focus of research and educational activities of educational organizations. In the modern period, this topic is especially relevant due to the existence of a military conflict between the countries and the need to form a new Russian ideology. The current events of the special military operation show how important patriotic sentiments are in protecting the Motherland, statehood and law and order, and providing mutual support to friendly peoples. In the 21st century, problems related to the protection of citizens of the former Soviet Union living outside Russia, the protection of the Russian people, the territorial integrity and borders of the Russian state have become acute again. The activity of educational organizations in the education of youth patriotism is not just a course of methodology for the implementation of educational, methodological, scientific and research activities aimed at educating a new generation, it is an activity based on official state policy.
