This article explores the personal aspect of legal culture within the context of philosophical and legal knowledge. The authors base their analysis on the scientific position that only certain theoretical and legal categories directly correlate with the categories of human beings and individuals, and therefore can be considered personally oriented. These include legal thinking and legal culture, which are formed and acquire their distinctive character through legal socialization and inculturation. The article emphasizes the connection between the analyzed categories and the types of legal understanding within which legal concepts are formed. Classical concepts describe legal thinking and legal culture as the result of the reflexive process of legal cognition, while non-classical concepts describe them as a creative interpretive act and its outcome. The authors note that the personal aspect remains central, suggesting its universal role in the formation of legal thinking and legal culture in any era
