PROBLEMS OF ADAPTATION OF CHILDREN WITH A MIGRATION HISTORY TO THE RUSSIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

Abstract (English):
This article examines the adaptation of children with a migration history to the Russian education system and sociocultural environment. It defines the concepts of “linguistic adaptation” and “sociocultural adaptation”. The causes of maladaptation are discussed, as well as the conditions that ensure the successful integration of children with a migration history into Russian life. The role of educational institutions in supporting this process is explored. Recommendations are provided for educational institutions to develop a program for working with children of migrants living in the Russian Federation. The document’s structure is described, along with the main goals and content of the work that ensures the successful linguistic and sociocultural adaptation of students with a migration history. Various forms of organizing the educational institution’s activities to achieve these goals are proposed, including working with parents.
