FUNDED PENSION INSURANCE: EXPERIENCE OF LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES

Abstract (English):
Relevence. The author analyses the experience of some countries in Latin America in transition from the solidary-distributive pension system to the accumulated and mixed pension systems. In this respect Russia follows the examples of a number of countries. Object of the Study. Pension Systems of a number of countries in Latin America. Subject of the Study. The interpretation of the experience of pension reforms implemented by a number of countries of Latin America in developing the pension system of the Russian Federation. The author analyses the causes of failure of reforming pension systems in Latin American countries, negative socioeconomic consequences as a result of turning down the funded pension insurance. The expediency of forming mixed pension systems in developing countries, in Russia in particular, as well as using effective practice in mandatory pension insurance are pointed out.
