In article the logistics as science, its types is considered. In more detail – transport logistics, its tasks and the principles. In structure of a social production transport belongs to the sphere of production of material services. Transport as a component of large system, i.e. a logistic chain, resulted in need to consider it in different aspects that promotes an optimum choice of transport services as quality of transportations, as a rule, in a bigger measure is reflected in the general expenses, than cost of transportations
