The article considers the assessment of the level of human potential and the degree of its development at the level of a particular organization as a socioeconomic system. Both historical and recent strategies for assessing human potential, which is a complex of various obvious and hidden qualities of the population, have been investigated. Special attention is paid to the weighted amount method, which is recognized as reliable and has minimal subjectivity in assessing human potential, which makes it possible to adequately correct the significance of its elements. The need to accurately determine the importance of various components of human potential and their basic competencies was emphasized. A system is presented that integrates the criteria that determine the personnel of the organization in the context of the overall mission and goal, confirming the possibilities of practical use of this economic category. Practical recommendations are proposed on the method of data collection and the method of econometric assessment of human potential in management practice.
