This article presents theoretical and methodological aspects of fostering positive student motivation through the use of digital educational technologies. Examples of electronic educational resources recommended for teaching geography are provided. One type of electronic educational resource—electronic teaching aids — is examined, along with the requirements for their creation and content. A proprietary version of an electronic geography teaching aid for the sixth grade, complete with assessments for each course topic, is presented. The specific features and differences of this teaching aid from existing ones are substantiated.
