This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the parameters that determine the success of speech communication. Relying on communicative and cognitive approaches, the author interaction of the structural and content level (the relationship between text and discourse, explicit and implicit meanings), the factor level (the speaker's psychophysiological features, prosody, dialectal traits), and the pragmatic level (forming the recipient's loyalty to achieve an illocutionary effect). Special attention is paid to the mechanisms of cognitive attention management of the addressee — the focusing and defocusing of information, which underlie the choice of communicative strategies (additive or non-additive). It is proven that the deliberate use of linguistic means, including meta-communicative elements and discourse markers, allows for structuring the message, engaging the listener, and overcoming their initial resistance. Thus, effective communication emerges as a strategically organized activity that requires consideration of the entire set of interrelated parameters — from phonetic features to pragmatic goals.
