The article describes the structure and features of the natural frame of the Belgorod region, identified the most common types of landscapes, their advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of the organization of recreational areas. Was analyzed the specifics of the formation of areas of recreation and tourism in the structure of the natural frame of the Belgorod region. Revealed the relationships of natural features of the territory and the development of tourism and recreation spaces on the various functional and hierarchical levels. Defined perspective directions of development of tourism and recreational areas, taking into account characteristics of the natural frame of the Belgorod region.
