The innovation technology analysis of finish-strengthening with surface plastic deformation (FS SPD) is presented. Key attention is paid to SPD static methods, the means of equipment and modes in the following areas: quality control and support of stationarity process; the processing of soft parts and crankshafts; concurrent and combined technologies; the formation of a nano-structural surface layer.
