The paper deals for the results of a survey aimed at identifying the attitude of the younger generation to the current state of the Russian axiosphere. The survey involved young people’s interpretation of traditional and relevant for modern Russian society values, detection of a list of personally significant axiologically marked concepts and establishment of a general evaluation of the current situation in Russian society. An important point is the image of the respondent of the described research: this is philologically educated, oriented to the introduction to the traditional Russian culture representative of the younger generation, largely different from other people who make up this age group. The results of the study demonstrate a gradual process of transformation of the national axiological consciousness and a complex and contradictory picture of the interaction of traditionally significant values and actual life orientations.
