The article analyzes the results of testing to test the functional literacy of 1st and 2nd year students of creative professions and specialties ("costume designer", "hairdressing", "design and modeling of clothing products") of students at the College of St. Petersburg Fashion. Based on the analysis, proposals are formed to improve the quality of education in order to increase the level of functional literacy of college students.
