As a result of theoretical information processing, as well as methodological analysis, various approaches and views on forms, types and methods for the formation of intercultural competence of high school students in the process of teaching English were identified. This problem acquires importance and significance, since the role of functions in teaching a foreign language changes due to its forms, types and methods.
