Abstract (English):
The article discusses the problems of cities that arise when using water resources on the example of Vologda. The Vologda River and Kubenskoye Lake are the two main water bodies used by the city of Vologda for water use. When analyzing the use of water bodies, various fields of application have been studied, such as: fishing, shipping, water supply and sanitation. Special attention is paid to the recreational sphere. Changes in water use are traced, manifested in the demand for various areas of water use. The sources of pollution and the consequences of anthropogenic impact have been identified.
