In the context of the early Romantic texts known to the two authors, the article compares the interpretations of the Mozart image by A.S. Pushkin and E. Merike. Taking into account the psychological interpretations of the tragedy of A. S. Pushkin, the author of the article is inclined to consider this work as philosophical. The article highlights similar motives in the perception of Mozart's image by Russian and German authors: the idea of creativity as a part of life, a premonition of imminent death.
