The relevance of the presented research is determined by the fact that the geopolitical and economic changes taking place in the world pose the task of implementing radical economic reforms for Russia. These circumstances indicate the advisability of turning to domestic experience in managing the processes of carrying out the most large-scale economic reforms in the modern history of the country - the Gaidar reforms of the early 1990s. The purpose of the presented research is to analyze the management of the implementation of Gaidar’s reforms in terms of internal management in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s in order to substantiate the processes of managing the transformation of the national economy in modern geopolitical and economic conditions taking into account the negative experience of past reforms. The scientific novelty of the results obtained lies in the identification of trends and patterns in the activities of internal management, which is under external control during the implementation of the course set by Gaidar’s economic reforms in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s as an information base for determining approaches to internal management in interests of transformation of the domestic economy in modern conditions. It is shown that the activities of the internal management of Gaidar’s reforms under the patronage of external (foreign) management in the 1990s were aimed at destroying the domestic industry, in the 2000s - at restraining its development in the electricity sector, and in the 2010s - at preventing development of the domestic economy in one of the most promising high-tech areas nanotechnology. It has been demonstrated that the destructive activities of the heirs of Gaidar’s reforms from the financial sector of the country’s internal top management using destructive macroeconomic financial policies continue today. The practical significance of the results obtained lies in the possibility of taking into account the existing experience in implementing Gaidar’s reforms in the last 30 years when implementing a management system for the transformation of the national economy at the present stage.
