Education acts as one of the key factors influencing not only the economic growth of the coun-try, but also its national security. Particular importance is attached to higher education, as it plays a vital role in strengthening national security, including through its influence on the economic stability of the state. In this context, the formation of civic consciousness through the higher education sys-tem is an important aspect that requires careful analysis. The study highlights the main reasons why higher education is recognized as a critical element of national security. Attention is also focused on the importance of the spiritual component of higher education for ensuring the security of the state.
