The issues of organizing family recreation and environmental education for children and adults based on the resources of green spaces in the city of Tyumen are considered. Particular attention is paid to green spaces of general and limited use and examples of some forms of environmental and local history activities organized by students and teachers of Tyumen State University are given. The importance of designing educational ecological trails and excursions on the green spaces of the city for education and family recreation has been determined.
