The article examines the life and lifestyle of the Black Sea and Terek Cossacks in the Russian Empire, which had its own characteristics and differed from the lives of other segments of the population. The Cossacks were a special class. They were known for their belligerence, courage, and dedication to their land and king. The Cossacks in the Russian Empire had their own history and traditions. The Cossacks were divided into various troops, such as the Don, Ural, Kuban and others. Each army had its own unique culture and way of life. The main occupation of the Cossacks was military service. They served in the army of the Russian Empire and defended its borders from external enemies. Cossacks also participated in many wars and conflicts, including during the Crimean War and the First World War. Cossack families lived in Cossack villages, which had their own unique architecture and way of life. The Cossacks in the Russian Empire had their own customs and traditions that were passed down from generation to generation. The Cossacks were also distinguished by their national holidays, costumes and folk songs. The Cossacks have left their mark on the history and culture of the country, and their representatives are still proud of their past and traditions.
