The article is devoted to the role of the Bank of Russia in regulating the circulation of digital currency and the digital ruble. The paper analyzes the main research results presented by the Central Bank in reports and reviews, their significance and application options in the law enforcement practice of courts and other state financial control bodies. In order to identify trends in the development of legislation on digital currencies, the dynamics of changes in the regulator's position on digital currencies at different times and the difficulties it faced in implementing its policy, including the implementation of the digital ruble concept, will be considered.
