This article is dedicated to the study of emergency situations at sea, their causes, prevention methods, and response strategies. The main factors contributing to the occurrence of emergencies are examined, including technical failures, human factors, natural conditions, and infrastructural issues. Special attention is given to modern technologies for incident prevention, such as monitoring and forecasting systems, navigation automation, and crew training programs. Methods for responding to emergency situations are also explored, including crew action protocols, the use of drones and underwater vehicles, international cooperation, and environmental restoration of affected areas. The study concludes on the necessity of a comprehensive approach to enhancing maritime safety through the integration of technologies, strengthening specialist training, and bolstering international collaboration.
