The modern world is undergoing rapid transformations caused by the rapid evolution of digital technologies. These changes are caused by a variety of factors, including integration into the global market, advances in science and technology, and, in particular, the digitalization of industrial processes. This new direction is not limited to the use of traditional project management tools, but covers enterprise digital transformation projects based on Industry 4.0 technologies. In this article, the author presents a study that makes a significant contribution to the development of the theory and practice of project management of digital transformation of industrial enterprises. The article analyzes the process of enterprise transition to the digital level. Based on this analysis, the author draws conclusions that contribute to the effective implementation of the concept of Industry 4.0. This article examines the key aspects of digital transformation projects that are actively implemented in industrial enterprises. Special attention is paid to the concept of Industry 4.0, an innovative approach to manufacturing based on the ability to flexibly generate and analyze huge amounts of data in real time. As an example, the practical experience of implementing a digital transformation project in the context of Industry 4.0 at an enterprise engaged in the manufacture and production of aviation products is considered.
