This article defines the problem of the quality of infrastructure provision of Russian regions at the modern level in the context of promoting the concept of development of auto-tourism. Author evaluates the quality of the main infrastructure of roadside and road service on the example of specific subjects, studies publicly available indicators. This work represents the cause-and-effect relationships and examines the obstacles in the development of infrastructure that ensures safe and comfortable movement of auto-tourists.
