The interest of Russians in domestic tourism is steadily growing. This trend is explained not only by external circumstances, such as closed borders, sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate, a decrease in the number of available destinations, but also by initiatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, which contribute to the creation of comfortable and affordable conditions for Russians to relax by supporting the development of national tourist routes, the development of new guidebooks and audio guides, and the creation of high-quality accommodation. Traditionally, one of the most popular travel destinations in the Russian Federation is the direction to the south, in particular the Center-South. In this regard, it seems advisable to consider the potential for the development of domestic tourism in the Russian Federation in this direction.
