Abstract (English):
The history of creation and the main aspects of work of the Department of Biomedical Research and Technology of the Irkutsk Scientific Center for the first 5 years is described. Selected as a methodological framework, the concept of translational medicine has provided, on the one hand, a wide range of research, on the other hand it brought the fundamental research to clinical testing on the basis of Hospital of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS. The materials included in the presented collection were announced.

Отдел медико-биологических исследований и технологий (ОМБИТ) создан по инициативе председателя Президиума ИНЦ СО РАН академика И.В. Бычкова (в настоящее время – научный руководитель ИНЦ СО РАН) при активном содействии
директора Научного центра реконструктивной и восстановительной хирургии ВСНЦ СО РАМН члена-корреспондента РАН Е.Г. Григорьева (в настоящее время – научный руководитель Иркутского науч-
ного центра хирургии и травматологии). Приказ о создании отдела был подписан 2 марта 2012 г., а 22 июня 2012 г. на заседании Президиума ИНЦ СО РАН представлены основные направления работы
отдела.
