The author considers the problem of implementing a personal-developmental approach to the formation of cognitive activity in primary schoolchildren. In the process of analyzing various concepts, the essential features of this approach are highlighted, on the basis of which the author's definition of the cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren is given; The following components of cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren are distinguished: cognitive interest, curiosity, cognitive initiative, cognitive independence. The possibilities of using the crossence method at different stages of the lesson are shown, the algorithm for using this method in literary reading lessons is given; The dynamics of the study before and after the use of a series of lessons using crossens is shown. The conclusion is made about the need to use crossens with the use of ICT in the personal-developmental education of primary schoolchildren.
