PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATION OF LINGUACULTURAL UNITS OF N.V. GOGOL’S NOVELLA «NEVSKY PROSPEKT» INTO GEORGIAN

Abstract (English):
The purpose of this article is to analyze the linguacultural units of N.V. Gogol's novella «Nevsky Prospekt» and identify ways to translate them into Georgian. As the comparative analysis has shown, the prevailing ways of transferring the considered units in the translation of the story «Nevsky Prospekt» are transliteration, approximate translation, and calculus. The article also analyzes the ways of eliminating ethnographic gaps and translating individual author's means of expression in terms of their success.
