The paper attempts to provide direct quantitative estimates of the impact of digital technologies on labor productivity and production efficiency in modern Russia. In the paper, labor productivity and production profitability were determined using Rosstat data, correlations between labor productivity, production profitability, and the share of enterprises using digital technologies in the regions were assessed. In addition, regression models were built to assess the impact of digital technologies on labor productivity and production profitability. The study revealed the inefficiency of digitalization. It was found that modern digital technologies such as cloud services, big data collection, processing, and analysis technologies, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence technologies, digital platforms, and electronic document management do not have a significant impact on labor productivity and production profitability in organizations in the country. The reasons for this situation may be the use of command-andcontrol approaches in the management of industries, enterprises and organizations, which entails the formalization of reporting on the development of digital technologies, a lack of funds, for example, robotic systems that implement digital technologies, low quality of software products used in digital technologies.
