Abstract: Purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of using adapted elements of Eastern martial arts in the physical training system of law enforcement cadets to develop cognitively oriented qualities. Methods and organization of the study. A pedagogical experiment was conducted involving cadets of a departmental university of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group followed an author-designed program integrating Eastern martial arts elements aimed at developing attention, self-regulation, and stress resilience, while the control group trained according to the standard curriculum. Psychodiagnostic methods, observation, and expert evaluation were applied. Results. The experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in attention stability, distribution, switching ability, self-regulation, and stress resilience. No statistically significant changes were observed in the control group. Conclusions. The integration of Eastern martial arts elements into physical training effectively enhances the development of professionally significant cognitive qualities and improves the overall efficiency of cadet training.
