The article is devoted to the analysis of the key problems associated with the implementation of import substitution policy in the field of information technology in Russia. The authors investigate the complex challenges arising from the replacement of foreign IT equipment and software. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the effectiveness of state support measures and the role of educational institutions in training specialists to solve import substitution problems.
