This article, using guzheng teaching as an example, examines the problem of introducing innovative pedagogical models of traditional musical art within the context of modern education. It emphasizes that amid the ongoing processes of educational modernization and cultural globalization, traditional art education urgently needs to find a new balance between “heritage” and “innovation.” An analysis of the current state of guzheng teaching in China reveals the limitations of traditional teaching models in terms of goal-setting, teaching methodology, and educational environment. The author argues that under the influence of modern pedagogical concepts, it is necessary to optimize curriculum design, enrich educational resources, and renew teaching formats to develop models that meet the needs of contemporary students. Innovation in pedagogical models not only fosters students’ artistic expressiveness and cultural awareness but also opens new perspectives for the preservation and sustainable development of traditional art.
