The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that the development prospects of the Russian Federation will largely be determined by achieving the national goal of "preserving the population, improving health and well-being, and supporting families". The objective of this work is to examine the challenges and prospects for achieving the national goal of "preserving the population, improving health and well-being, and supporting families" in terms of population preservation. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the determination of the projected population dynamics of the country from 2026 to 2030 using point forecast, interval average forecast, and interval individual forecast models. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in their ability to be taken into account when addressing the challenges of achieving the national goal of "preserving the population, improving health and well-being, and supporting families," including increasing the birth rate and life expectancy.
