The article is devoted to the problem of forming the social skills. The authors prove the relevance of this problem and present the results of experimental work carried out on the basis of a public school in the Tyumen region. In the course of the study the criteria and indicators of social skills development in younger teenagers were formulated, on the basis of which the levels of their development were determined. Within the framework of extracurricular activities, training sessions were conducted at school, which allowed to significantly increase the level of social skills development among younger teenagers. The authors confirmed the effectiveness of the work by the method of mathematical statistics.
