Climate change has become one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and Russian companies are not left behind, taking responsibility for their carbon footprint. Striving for carbon neutrality is becoming not only a moral obligation, but also a strategic move for businesses seeking to remain competitive in a changing economic and environmental paradigm. The scientific novelty of this paper is due to a broad analysis of the strategic goals of ESG leaders of Russian business and their key initiatives for 2022-2023. The work makes it possible to determine the level of climate ambitions of the corporate sector in Russia for different industries.
