Chronic myeloproliferative diseases are an urgent problem of modern hematology. Despite the fact that these are relatively rare pathologies of the blood system, patients with myeloproliferative diseases are regularly encountered in the practice of a hematologist. The recent increased interest in this group of diseases is due to the increased frequency of their diagnosis in patients of different ages. A clinical observation of a middle-aged patient, diagnostic difficulties and therapy selection is presented.
